Updates

• Ella is loving school.  She is mixing English and Chinese into her chats with me as well as singing Chinese songs all the time.  Thankfully Elizabeth is my translator. 
• Just this week Elizabeth realized she can tell me what the Chinese words mean in English.  Its amazing watching her mind process that.  She was surprised for sure.
• We tried the bus option for one month.  It didn't work out for us but I am glad we gave it a shot.  I was bringing the girls to a pick up spot off Hwy 94 and then would head to work after they got on the bus.  With traffic and slight weather issues, I was only on time 2 or 3 times the whole month.  The bus was late a few minutes and then 94 was heavy traffic and then add the construction due to the light rail and I was late alot.  Plus the girls were on the bus for 40 minutes and were late to "Morning Meeting".  (Morning exercise and singing).  So now we leave the house a little before 7am and I can get to work by 7:45.  Maybe someday I can change my work hours.  Oh that would be sweet. 
• Tomorrow is School picture day.  I was going to just pull something out of the closet for the girls to wear but neither one was excited by that.  So, after Ella and I dropped Elizabeth at Faith Formation, we went to Target and shopped.  I found two dresses for Elizabeth, one for Ella and new shoes for Ella (I also picked up new earrings for me).  When I showed Elizabeth the options, she loved them both.  At home tonight she gave us a fashion show to let us vote on the Dress/Shoe combo.  She also asked me if she could borrow my earrings one day soon.  :-) 
• Elizabeth's dress is purple with purple lace.  Ella's is black with darker pink and purple flowers.  Her shoes are silver sparkles.  Elizabeth is either wearing her white sandals or gold flats.
• We are also figuring a schedule for night time routines.  And Elizabeth is getting her homework done in After Care before I pick the girls up.  That helps so much.  So now when we get home its reading, learning spelling words and practice writing for Ella.
