Both girls got great reports. I am so proud of the hard work my girls are doing. It was great being able to talk to Elizabeth's Chinese teacher and English teacher. Elizabeth did GREAT on her Chinese test - 91 right which was one of the highest scores in her class according to her teacher. She does struggle a bit with math though so we are going to continue working on that. I think her reading is starting to come along and we have some strategies for continuing that work. All in All I heard good/great/wonderful/hard worker/loves Chinese/ sings songs/helpful/quiet/nice to have in class. Proud of my big girl!
In Ella's conference it was her Chinese teacher as well as her speech teacher. In speech Ella has hit 2 of the 4 goals left over from her last IEP from last year. AWESOME!!! Now they are going to work on some combined sounds to improve those. It was clear in talking with her speech teacher that she knows how to work with kids with cleft. I think that is wonderful. She also said Ella continues to try even when being corrected. Her Chinese teacher said the same. She said Ella is sweet, nice, kind, friendly, loving, loves to draw, needs work on her numbers, loves princesses, loves to help her friends, needs to be reminded to finish her own work before helping friends, helpful, sweet, wonderful. We just need to practice writing numbers and letters so Ella gets better at them. Proud of my little girl!
Keep working hard girls. Mom will help more with Math and numbers and we will continue reading and you guys continue doing what you do and you can't help but succeed!
