Stop and relax

Today was a lazy day for us.  I have a lot I need to do around here but didn't.  :-)

The girls watched tv in my room all morning.

I watched my decorating shows in the living room

We didn't get out of our pjs until after 12.

Then we got cleaned up and went to CAAM dance recital at St Kates.  It was great.  Elizabeth ran into many friends and Ella slept.  Poor girl is fighting a lingering cough so I am finally going to take her to the doctor this week.

We came home after the dance and in less than 20 minutes the girls got their homework done.  We all watched a little more tv together and now I am waiting for the pasta water to be ready.

Tonight I will be up late though.  I volunteered to sew snaps on the Chinese New Year outfits Ella's class is wearing.  I have learned my lesson though... I'll volunteer to serve lunch, but no more crafty stuff for me.  :-)

Update 11pm
I started the project after the girls went to bed.... 3 hours later I am done.  I have come to some conclusions - I need laser surgery on my old lady eyes.  I had the bifocals out as well as my cheaters and I kept having to switch back and forth.  I also decided the project went alot better with beer.  Not quite the crafty image though - sewing and drinking.  :-)

Aren't they cool?  And for the sake of honesty - I helped cut material, turned the pieces back in and other families did the sewing and iron on stuff.  Tonight it was just snaps under one side of the red curve.  Seven snaps on two vests = three hours.  :-)
