Getting ready for Easter

I had grand plans this weekend.  I was going to bring multiple loads of stuff to Goodwill and box up Elizabeth's room of stuff she/we just can't part with but really don't use.  Reality was my cold shortened my energy by quite a bit but we had fun!

  • We dropped off one load at Goodwill
  • We packed up two boxes of stuff and put clean clothes away.
  • Ella had her final dance class with wonderful Miss Amy.  Elizabeth didn't have gymnastics so she was able to watch the performance with me.  Ella really is doing great there.  She knows ballet positions and has a smile on her face from ear to ear while there.  We are not signing up for the next session because we have an extended vacation coming up in the middle of it.  In the fall I am going to try and sign Ella up for dance classes closer to where Elizabeth does gymnastics to make things easier for me.  I'll tell Ella later that we may not see Miss Amy again.  She won't like me but Ella loves all her teachers and will have great lovely memories of Miss Amy.
  • Eggs were boiled yesterday ready to be dyed.  I got two sets of dye with individual cups.... best $3 I ever spent.  I put an old white sheet on the table and my old shirts on the girls and off we went.
  • When we were done with eggs, there was alot of dye left.  The sun came out for about a minute so I took the white sheet out, let the girls mix the dye to their content, and let them get all creative on the old white sheet.  Then they played in the water in the alley until they were soaked
  • Which led to a long soak in the tub.
  • Now we have had supper, they have their pjs on and I feel an early night coming on. Just hope I wake up in time to let the Easter Bunny in.
Happy Easter everyone!
