Wonderful Sunday

We had a wonderful weekend but Sunday was great. 

We slept in and took our time getting ready - we are not able to do that on most days.

Then after a quick lunch we made our way to the Mall of America.

Ella was invited to a friend's party at Scoops.  Its a kids salon for pedicures etc.  :-)  When the invite came, Elizabeth asked if her and I could do a Mani/pedi while Ella was with her friends instead of Elizabeth having a friend birthday party.  How awesome is that?  I was on board 1000%.

We dropped Ella off at 2 and then we had coupons to use at Justice.  It was so much fun watching Elizabeth pick out clothes and try them on.  You could just see her confidence in the way she was checking out the clothes in the mirror.  I loved it!  Then we went back up to Scoops for our 3:30 appt. 

We each got to pick out our tiaras (we both picked purple) as well as our nail color.  Mine is red with sparkles and Elizabeth is hot pink with sparkles.  Then up in the front of the shop we went.  The only thing I forgot is the other parents coming back to pick up their girls.  Everyone of them saw me with my purple tiara but they also saw my smile and my big girl's smile.  One of the dads also told me what a good girl Ella is - both girls really he said.  He said you can tell I am a good mom.  That was very nice of him to say.  And I agree - I have great girls.  And I am being the type of parent my Dad showed me so I am proud to be called a good mom.  Thanks Dad!

When Ella's party was done, she was able to join us.  Elizabeth was also getting a pedicure so we sat by her and finished the appointment together.  Ella had a blast at her party and she picked hot pink nail polish with sparkles.  How funny. 

After we were done, the three of us went to eat and then home.  We got to watch part of Survivor together before I put the girls to bed.

All in all it was a great Sunday! 

p.s.  I did ask Elizabeth if we could take pictures at the salon, she said no.  So no pictures of me in my tiara to post for all to see   :-)

p.p.s  On Tuesday I'll be taking Ella shopping at Justice too.  We have more coupons and they both need new clothes for our trip this summer.  We are going to China (more info later)
