Also, my home laptop had some issues and a great guy at work helped me work through them. I don't know how long it will work for but I did do a complete back up last night when it came back up.
A couple of Saturdays ago, the girls and I met up with our travel group. We have a tradition where we go see Santa together. The last couple of years we have been going to O'Gara's Bar for Breakfast with Santa. This year the kids all got to sit on one end of the table and the parents on the other end. That was so lovely!
On the way after we got a memory card for the camera and treats for hungry girls.

Not sure who ended up with these because they didn't come home with us.
Only missing Genet - she was a little afraid to be with the whole group. She just came home this summer and is now the youngest of the group. I love where Ella ended up... smart move!
After Breakfast, we went downtown to the Science Museum. Ella was invited to a birthday party. Elizabeth and I had some Mom and Me time at a Holiday Bazaar. I spent more than I wanted to but we had a really good time. Then we went back to the Science Museum and surprised Ella at the movie. When we left the Museum it was snowing so pretty. We went to pick up a friend of Elizabeth's that was spending the night. When we got home the girls wanted to play so outside they went. These pictures look like it is really late but it was 5:30 or so.
Then on Sunday we got ready for another open house (no one came though) and the girls played in the snow some more at a nearby park. I was tired so I stayed in the warm van. Soon it was time to bring Grace home. The girls and I then put up our Christmas Tree and all the decorations that night. They really are good helpers!
Misc Updates:
The house is still for sale but its a slow time right now. It may take awhile to sell but I am thankful we don't need to rush. Hopefully we will still get the house we like in Roseville but there are many other homes that will work just as nicely for us.
Ella has had a rough patch lately. There has been some meaness going on in Aftercare. We had many discussions with the school and I recently had a face to face meeting as well. Things are getting better but now I found out that the aftercare manager is leaving. She is the one that had the great ideas for action plans to help Ella. Now I am concerned it will all be for nothing. Thankfully I found another solution and my manager at work is supportive. Once I get final approval the girls will no longer be in aftercare and I will be able to pick them up when school is done. We will need to get up a little earlier to make it fair for me and my job but I am confident it will all be worth it. I am thankful for a boss that understands how important the job of raising kids is.

That's great news about your work being willing to allow you to shift your time! I'm sure the girls will love to get to be with you right after school, and vice versa.
