Keeping it Fair and Square

Saturday Elizabeth is having a friend sleep over.

Today Ella said she wished that Grace had a little sister so we could have her over too and keep it "Fair and Square"

This led to a discussion about the age Elizabeth was before she was allowed friend sleepovers.  Officially it was when she was 7.  But, Elizabeth reminded me that she slept at Sydney's house when she was 5 when I was in China with Ella.  Elizabeth said she was scared and it felt like I was gone a month instead of just two weeks.  I missed you too Elizabeth... tons.  But I am still glad I didn't bring Elizabeth to China when Ella joined our family... it gave us time alone.  And that keeps it Fair and Square.

Then I told Ella I don't get sleepovers either.  LOL  Both girls piped up and said yes you do Mom... tonight you have a sleep over.  Somehow I don't think a sleep study to see if I have sleep apnea is the same thing as a sleep over.  The wires and stuff attached to me are not quite the same thing as having popcorn and watching movies.

But, in the end I hope we figure it all out so I can start to feel rested again.

I think our family motto will be "Fair and Square"
