Is it time for "the talk?"

I don't sugar coat things with my girls.  I tell them the truth and use the real names.  But, some recent comments by Elizabeth has shown me we need to have a little more detailed talk related to human relations.   :-)

Elizabeth sees a couple kissing on tv and calls it s e x.  And then closes her eyes.  This is on a PG show and the kiss is very innocent.

I remember Dad having the talk with me.  He gave me books to read in 6th or 7th grade I think and then we talked about it.  I am not against that but I think we will need to have a 4th grade level book.  And we will go into more of the emotions of it all too.  As well as how important the word NO is.

I am also going to ask her what she thinks s e x is.  My guess is the talks with friends has started.

I know we talked about dating and even played a rocking game at Mary's.  For the life of me I can't remember the name of the game - First Date?   Maybe it was Mystery Date?

Anyway... our talks will be interesting - that is for sure.

P.S. while looking for the game online, I saw something else I haven't seen in years but that we used to play with as kids.  These were solid and wicked - clacker balls.
