Love Gillette Hospital and Special Services

Yesterday I got a call at work that Ella's retainer had fallen out.  She was fine and the school nurse put it in a bag and it came home with Ella.  This retainer keeps her upper jaw in line.  Her underbite is starting to come back a little so I knew we had to get it replaced ASAP.  Gillette and Dr. Cermain was able to get us in today.

Since this is the third time this year that Ella's retainer broke, they decided it was time for a change.  So, Ella was fitted for a night time clear retainer.

I just love the staff that works with Dr Cermain.  They get kids and know how to reassure them.

Ella wanted to know what color the retainer would be.  The Dental Assistant said Clear, just like Cinderella's shoes.  You could just see Ella's shoulders relax.

And they now have flavored goop for helping to set the model for the new retainers.  That mouth goop was the worst thing for Ella.  But, now they have chocolate as well as other flavors.  Ella picked chocolate.  But, being she has had to taste the gross goop way too many times, she didn't trust it would taste ok but once it was in her mouth, you could hear her say "I like it"

Ella you are a great trooper and I really love the staff at Gillette.  Awesome Place.  Awesome People.

Now Ella is telling me about Beethoven and his mean step father and how Ode To Joy was hard to write.

That continues to be her favorite song ever.

Joan, Flynn and I must have just missed you at Gillette. We had a 10am with Dr. Wood and then saw Dr. Cermin. I agree the Gillette team of doctors and staff is great. I hope Ella continues to heal and shine.
