It did not turn out as expected
Elizabeth recently started mentioning that her eyes were bugging her and that she had to squint to read some times.
Grandma Jo noticed it too when the girls stayed with her after Christmas.
Since it had been awhile for an eye examine for Elizabeth and like never for Ella I did some research and found a place that had good ratings. To make it even better , they have Saturday hours.
So this morning we went to the eye doctor
Elizabeth has 20-20 vision with or without squinting. Her sore eyes are probably because she is reading more and her eye muscles are getting used to that. We will keep an eye on that. :-) A side effect of reading, who knew!
But Ella is a little bit near sighted. I didn't see that one coming at all. So we ordered her some glasses. I did nothing but pay for them. Ella picked the frames after trying on a few. The first ones she tried were pink and cute. But she kept looking. The final pair are a darker pink with purple sides that have hearts on them. It is as if the glasses were just there waiting for Ella to see them in all her favorite glory.
We will pick them up in about a week
:-)

I can hardly wait to see Ella sporting her cute glasses. Elizabeth deserves some credit for helping her sister improve her vision! Three cheers for Ella, Elizabeth, and the smart mother who found a great eye doctor!
