Recent events

Friday I was one of the chaperones for the 4th grade field trip to the Science Museum.  Man corraling kids made me really appreciate the work the teachers do.  I was exhausted after that and we just relaxed at home Friday night.

Saturday was gymnastics and that night we met up with friends for a belated Chinese New Year's dinner celebration.  I also volunteered at a basketball tourney and the money from that went to the gymnastics team.  I have two more hours to work on Sunday.

Ella was pretty tired from just hanging out at the gym all afternoon and we made a spot for her to nap.  She slept almost the whole time we were there.  Elizabeth put some food in a to go container and Ella was able to eat it after her long nap.

Most of the other girls.  We had two round tables and most of the kids sat on one and the parents at the other.  Genet (Skylar's little sister) sat with us and Ella was going to sit with us but you see above what she did.  Awesome food and wonderful company.  Great group of people... these are the folks we went to China with... except for Patti, Kent, Skylar and Genet.  They were traveling on their own at that time bringing Genet home from Ethiopia

Sunday we went to church with Dad and Kevin and out to breakfast.  Elizabeth has a friend over so when we got home Ella and I putzed around upstairs.  We are going to put a dresser together later so Ella was playing with the boxes.  

She was going to make the box into a boat but then changed it to a couch.  Now she just asked if she could sleep in it on Saturdays.  :-)

UPDATE HUGE NEWS:

Ella has lost her first tooth.  It has been wiggly for a couple of weeks and she has been working on it alot.  Initially she was worried that when she lost the tooth she would have a hard time peeling oranges.  But, I have promised I would cut them up for her while she got used to it.  I was not the one to pull it out either.  Elizabeth did.  I was working at a basketball tournement at Roseville HS (the hours worked are paid to the gymnastics team) and Elizabeth and Ella decided it was time.  No tears and only a little blood and her tooth was safely in tissue in my pocket.  Way to Go girls!  Ella also had the most bonus checks on their reward chart so I told her she got to decide where we went to dinner tonight.  She picked Smashburger with a little help from big sis.  The only down side was Ella got sick on the way home.  I think it was because she ate too much and then tried to finish her chocolate shake.  But, she is bathed and wrote her note to the tooth fairy.  Dear Tooth Fairy.  Today my first tooth came out by my sister Elizabeth.  Can you give her some money too?  Thank you Ella.

I am sure the tooth fairy has stash for both of you.
