So Elizabeth has been working towards team level skills in gymnastics this summer. We have had many discussions about wanting to be done. Elizabeth told me she is nervous and scared about competing. After all this time of working toward that goal, I admit I had a hard time letting it go. But, I finally accepted it and left the decision up to Elizabeth. She continued to love practice and worked really hard. Last week the gym manager was watching the girls to see if they were close to the needed skills for starting competition. I was planning on having a talk with the coaches that evening to explain that E was moving to Park and Rec. Well what do you know but E got her Kip, in front of Carol the manager. E went on to get 3 more kips that night, 3 the next practice and on Wednesday she got 3 more. With 3 kips 3 practices in a row, she earned her kip medal. Elizabeth has also decided to stay in team level for now. She decided that on her own all I did was ask the question. I am very proud of your hard work Elizabeth and it is pure joy to watch you have so much fun.

Ella also had an eventful week. She had her cleft pediatric dentist appointment. As usual she was an awesome patient and had them all smiling. This time Dr. Cermain had them do a full head xray on Ella. Prior to that Dr. Cermain was thinking Ella's bone graft was still a couple of years down the road. But, after reviewing the xray she said it could be done as early as this Christmas or next summer. I asked if there was any harm in waiting until summer and she said no. Ella was very calm and relaxed which is so awesome. Not too long ago this was a huge worry to Miss Ella. But, with her brave spirit she has asked her questions and feels safe. I am very proud of you Ella - great job!
