Giving Thanks

Thank you Jesus for Family

Thank you Lindsay - I am sure Ella is having fun with you and your family today.  I loved the text I got from you shortly after you picked Ella up for her sleepover:  "My Grandparents bought us all lunch.  Ella made a new friend as well.  My Grandma gave her a small bottle of perfume"
I am sure Ella's going to fill you with many stories and questions and just completely enjoy her time with you, Jeremy and Hunter.  I miss her but know she is having a blast with her family

Elizabeth has been bonding with her new family member today without having to share the kitty.  Rosalinda Lucinda... aka Rosie - here they are watching a show on the ipad.  They have since fallen totally asleep but I know if I took another picture they would wake.   Elizabeth was not keen on having a cat - it was for Ella at first - but now they both love little Ms Rosie and I am so happy for them.

The story of Rosie:
On a Monday at work I checked Facebook as I do once in awhile.  I saw a super cute kitty and then saw she was free and Beth had flagged me on it.  Ella had been asking for a cat for at least a year.  I had been thinking about it and figured it was time to do something - basically Shi* or get off the pot time.  LOL  So, I emailed the person that was offering a free kitty.  I said I wanted to show my daughter the picture and would let her know.  She was being offered for free because this woman had picked up a second kitty before checking with her husband - he said no.  So she was in a rush.  I got home that Monday and showed Ella the pic - cute she said.  I asked do you want her...really mom?  Yup.  Elizabeth said something like no, we are really getting a cat?  I'll keep my door shut.  So then it was figuring out how to get her to the house.  We had gymnastics and skating.  Beth offered to pick Rosie up and bring her over with a litter box, litter, food, bowls... wow.  How amazing.  So we set it up and met Rosie at 8 pm on 11/17/14.  Thank you Beth, Bri and Syd.  Bri was the one to pick her up and they kept Rosie at their house until we got home.  I'll post more about Rosie soon.

Tuesday before Thanksgiving was the All School Mass at St Marks.  I scheduled it as one of my work from home days and Grandma Jo came in to surprise the girls.  Thank you Grandma - you always make the girls feel so special.  You are an amazing person - showing such strength with the loss of Jerry and still making time for my girls.  You are who I want to be.  Thank you for being my girls' guiding star as well as mine.

Thankful for so much - I miss Dad and Mom of course but am blessed to have family and friends that continue to bring joy and happiness to our lives.

This cutie is our newest member of our family.  Welcome to this life Cody James.  Laura and Josh you are amazing parents and it will be so fun seeing your family evolve.  Love you
