Elizabeth has gymnastics and Ella has skating.
Today Ella asked to skip skating because she was stressing out over her to do list. That included doing her thank you cards from her birthday and working on her report for Social Studies about the state of South Dakota. I agreed homework comes first so we stayed home. I am happy to say she is well on her way with her facts about SD and just needs to draw pictures for the report. She also finished all the thank you cards.
Usually when its skating Elizabeth stays later to gymnastics and works out with the Dragons. Elizabeth is a Fire Fly. Thankfully the coaches are very kind to let her come late and stay late to make scheduling easier. Other families have found this to be helpful too for their schedules. Anyway, today I went to get Elizabeth close to her regular time and as I was pulling in the parking lot Elizabeth called. She told me they asked her to move up to Dragon Flies. And she said yes.
I am so proud of both my girls. Ella knew she was feeling pressure and found a solution to help ease that stress.
Elizabeth continued to find her way in gymnastics and is enjoying her successes. Just yesterday it was the banquet and I did ask if she wanted to move up and she said she wanted to stay with her friends. Today she realized she has friends in Dragon Flies too and maybe some of the older Fire Flies will move up too.
