After visiting with Dad for a little bit, the girls and I headed to the mall. Elizabeth needed boots and I was going to try and talk Ella into new shoes too. We had great success.
Elizabeth saw this and they were it. They even beat out a Camp Rock version. She wore them all day. :-)
Todd met us and we went out to lunch and then back to the house to decorate for Christmas. I had a few things to clean out of the spot where the tree was going to go and then Operation Christmas started.
Elizabeth did a great job with the garland. She had them ready to go before I needed them.
Ella was so excited to add decorations that she put a couple of her toys under the tree.
This is a great tree. Check out the evenly placed ornaments. :-)
There was a very sweet moment when my new reindeer ornament had a broken ear. It was all my fault, when I put the ornaments away last year I didn't pack them great. Ella felt so bad she went and glued it and brought it to me. She wanted to make sure I wasn't sad. I love it more now - especially with the extra glue. She did a great job and asked me multiple times if it made me happy. She is so sweet.
Later Ella whispered to me that she Loves Christmas. She is still trying to figure out time, dates, etc so she asked many times Sunday night if Christmas was over.
Elizabeth was excited to get the stockings up. We had to take one off the tree... that is where Ella had put it.
And our Elf on the Shelf Freddy is back.
We kept him in his box so he could get used to being downstairs and we made sure to not touch him. This morning he was out of his box and sitting on top of the windows. I wonder what he reported to Santa?
Elizabeth also wanted to put the Real Manger up. Its one my Mom had from when she was first married to my Dad. I love it and I really love it that Elizabeth is excited about it too.
We were all done so the girls were playing. Tragedy struck. I buy the girls ornaments every year and Ella had picked out a really pretty heart. It was hanging on the tree next to the repaired Reindeer but she wanted to play with it. What was I thinking? I didn't realize she took it downstairs until she came back up with it and crash. She was devastated. So very Sad. She wanted me to go get another one right away. We did not do that but we did get a replacement today. So now Ella's Heart is No Longer Broken.

Great tree. Nice job helping you mom, Elizabeth. As for Ella, I am happy to hear that her heart is no longer broken:)
