Praise God.
We stayed an extra night at the hospital because she just wasn't drinking or eating as much as I would have liked. But, after her bath yesterday she did start eating more. Reenie came in with a milk shake from McDonalds and gave me time to take a shower. When I got back I heard that Ella had 10 spoonfuls of the shake. She still wasn't drinking much of the water or apple juice. When we woke this morning we were both ready to go home. Ella actually reached for her jacket last night. My brother Kevin picked us up about 10:45 and we were home by 11:20 after one stop at Walgreens for Motrine and Tylenol. I only had the melt away caplets at home and we needed liquid. Two more days of medicine and she will be totally back to normal.
So far she has had 1/2 container of applesauce, almost 1 banana all mushed up, an oreo cookie cumbled up and mixed with milk. She had half of an Icee and is now playing playdough.
Its good to be home.
I called Elizabeth last night to let her know that we were staying one more night and she was having lots of fun with Mary and her daughters Elizabeth and Mikela. She asked where she was going to sleep and who was going to pick her up from school. Sleep was covered by staying at Reenie's one more night and I said I could pick her up. Elizabeth asked if Mary could again. :-) Glad to hear my girls were covered so well!
I am now making Ella a very runny scrambled egg because she is still hungry. I'll come back and add pictures when she is done eating. :-)

We have been thinking of you and hoping all is going well. I'm glad Ella is starting to get her appetite back. We saw Dr. Wood this morning and he asked how Ella was feeling. Take Care! Michelle and Mia
Yea Ella! Glad you are home and starting to eat! Enjoy the milk shakes!
I am so glad that it all turned out and that Ella is on the mend. It sounds like Elizabeth was a great big sister as well.
