Wow

Last night was amazing.

My daycare stayed open late so parents could go vote. I took Elizabeth with me and she was able to vote in the Kid booth. Her first question was which one is Rock Obama? That's my girl! I may have let it slip earlier in the week who I was voting for but I didn't add my opinion on any of her choices except to help her fill in the circles. I love that she was excited. And we were still at daycare on time.

There was a ban on TV this week due to some one being grounded... oh its hard to be tired and 6 some mornings. But we had MPR on to get the news. I took Elizabeth outside to hear the people cheering and horns honking. It was at an intersection about 5 blocks away. I said, they are cheering for Barack... Elizabeth cheered too. I was very excited to share this historic event with her.

After the girls were asleep I watched the returns and got to see John McCains gracious speech as well as Barack Obamas. What a wonderful night.

This morning I raised the ban on TV so the girls could see the news. Elizabeth was glad Barack won and said he knows how to Rock! :-) Love that girl. She asked Ella if she was going to vote for Rock Bama and Ella said Yes. So, we all voted the same. :-)

Now the wait starts for the MN Senatorial race. I'll have to watch the news to see the latest on that but it looks like an automatic recount.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!
