Not one but TWO Santas yesterday

It was a great weekend.

Friday we had family over for KFC and hang time. My brother Jim was in town this weekend to hang with Dad and Joanne and Jerry came in on Friday to hang with Sister Isadore and Dad. I did hear that Sister mentioned she hasn't seen my girls in a while, so we need to stop by soon. But we all had a great time sitting around the dining room table laughing and chatting.

Saturday was gymnastics and then we met up with Dad and Jim as well as Tracy and Muriel for lunch. We went to The Blue Door. One half of it used to be my Dad's old barber shop when we were kids. We were sitting in the booth where Chair Two used to be. It was really cool being there with Dad. The girls loved it because there were blackboards on the wall and they colored away with the chalk. Tracy and I took the girls to an antique store next to the restaurant and had fun. Check out the purses the little ones all got.

Sunday was Snack with Santa in the morning at the MN Zoo. We met Tracy and Muriel there too. It was nice hanging out with them this weekend. My girls were very excited to see Santa and jumped right up and chatted away. Elizabeth asked for an Ipod and Ella asked for a baby.

On the way home Jim called and he stopped by the house on the way to the airport. It was great seeing him this weekend and I know Dad loved it too. On Saturday Dad and Jim did errands before they met us for lunch. That was a big help to me and Kevin for sure. Jim also took Dad to church Sunday morning. Thanks Jim for the visit and for taking such good care of Dad.

Then about 2:30 Todd and his daughter Elise and grandson Cameron came by and we followed them to the train station. All of us took the train to DT Minneapolis and went to Macy's and saw Santa AGAIN! We were going to watch the Hollidazzle parade as well but it was too cold for me. I think it was 12 degrees and we would not have enjoyed that. We went through the holiday display and then the kids sat with Santa again. My girls went first and Elizabeth asked for an Ipod again and Ella asked for a puppy and a baby doll. The baby doll can be red purple green and the puppy a purple poodle. Hope Santa can find that. LOL I hear he found an MP3 player suitable for a 6 year old though. Whew. Elizabeth was a little worried though. She asked what if I get two Ipods Mom? What would we do? I think she decided she would give the other one to Todd. Even though she wants a pink one.

Oh... the girls also got Elf on the Shelf from Jim, Pam, Grace and Madeline. Elizabeth and Ella have named him Freddy. And every morning they check where he is. He has alot of magic and has gone back to Santa every night and reported back how good the girls are behaving. I see he has moved again. That little guy has a lot of magic.

Here's hoping this week is a little slower at work so I can get caught up.

I took Tuesday off to paint and wait for repair men but I think I will go shopping instead in the afternoon and bring down the Xmas decorations in the morning. I'll paint in January instead I guess. Other wise we are waiting too long to make the house look like Christmas.

We had a great time with you guys too! Love the Red Shoes photo by Ella! Very artistic!

Enjoy your shopping. That sounds more fun than painting!
