Easter Basket Time

Ella and Poppa at Brunch

Elizabeth took this picture of Ella and her blue M&M teeth.

We had a wonderful day with family and friends.
Elizabeth woke first and found both baskets. She helped Ella find hers when she woke later. They loved their presents, some crafty things, some sand box toys, toys from Dora princess and Hannah Montana. The poor Easter Bunny is tired though. We had gone to the MN Zoo yesterday and played outside when we got home, and then dyed Easter Eggs. We all went to bed at 8:30 and I was too tired to stay awake. But then I was worried I wouldn't wake before the girls so the EB woke at 2:30 and couldn't get back to sleep until 4. It turned out I had plenty of time. :-)
We went to church with family and everyone did great. Dad is looking really tired though. I cried a little to myself during mass (no one in my family saw). I am finding it hard watching my Dad and the progression of his disease. Dad is so loved by us all. Ella loves him up all the time without any prodding. She makes Dad laugh with her antics and singing. Elizabeth loves her Poppa too and helps me when we are taking care of him. She watches out for him very well. I still see Dad's humor in his eyes and he was taking part in the conversations but his movements are harder and harder on him.
After mass we went to brunch with everyone and it was very good. We then hung out at Kevin and Doreens for a bit. I got to chat with my nephew Josh and his Fiance Laura. I am very happy for them and was excited to hear the wedding plans.
Then the girls and I stopped and visited with JunFen and family at the hospital. After we left there, we grabbed an early dinner. I had the girls go down the basement to play in hopes I could take a nap. I rested but no sleep. Ella came up after it had been quiet and I found out Elizabeth is sleeping. So, some of us have gotten sleep. :-)
Early bed tonight for sure. Hope everyone had a great Easter.
