Ended it with a party

I love this picture of the girls with my Dad.

It was a very busy weekend and I am soon to bed.

Saturday we had gymnastics followed by a birthday party for a day-care friend. Then we went to Tracy's for dinner with the SAMS (Single Adoptive Moms) group. That is always fun. Great conversations and the girls all play pretty well together. But the amount of stuff we did in the day caught up to Elizabeth. A minor temper tantrum but we left right away. Half way home she was sleeping. Both girls slept from 7:30 last night to 7 this morning.

Today's big event was celebrating Ella's Birthday. We had a family get together at my Dad's place today. Thank you to Dad, Joanne and Jerry, Jere, Reenie and Todd for coming. It was a very nice time.

Opening presents
I Totally Love this picture of Ella and Dad.  Thank you Uncle Jere for getting this shot of Ella holding Dad's hand.  She loves her Poppa and holds his hand all the time.
Elizabeth is showing her first set of dangly earrings.  I found them when I was shopping for Ella's present.  Elizabeth was very excited.

We were able to use a conference room on the same floor Dad is on and it was so nice. We had some good sub sandwiches and great conversation. Ella couldn't wait to have some of her Barbie cake and it was very good. Now we can laugh but Ella's long hair is a little shorter now. When she was leaning over the cake to blow out the candles, her hair touched a lit one. We moved fast and there was no damage to her... just a little singed hair. She rallied and ate cake and opened presents and had a great time.

A snip of the bangs and a torch to boot. Ella is going to have a future in hair for sure.
