Dentist, lost bunny, found again and fun

Yesterday Elizabeth started the long road of prepping her mouth for braces.  They won't be there for years yet but she did need to have two baby teeth pulled to make room for the adult teeth already in her mouth.  The hope is that now that there is room, the teeth will move back to where they are supposed to be instead of behind the other teeth on the bottom.  Elizabeth was a trooper.  She had the procedure done at the dentist office with happy gas and little of movie watching and alot of novacaine.  The initial needles hurt and she did express her feelings quite well.  So well in fact that they waited for that needle to numb her up a bit more before they added more.  The pressure of the teeth being pulled was very uncomfortable for her.  But in the end they pulled them suckers out and she was just fine.  She also would not let me let go of her hand the entire time.  Whatever I can do to help Elizabeth, I am there.

We went home so I could get some aspirin for Elizabeth.  She had gymnastics last night and we were waiting to see if she felt like going.  On the way home to get her stuffed bunny and medicine, Elizabeth fell asleep.  Elizabeth was going to bring BunBun to the dentist but forgot her at home.  I didn't know that until I picked her up at school.  I ran in and got the stuff and Elizabeth stayed asleep in the van.  This was at 4:30.  From there we met Mary, Elizabeth, Mikaela and Ella at a local place for dinner.  Right about then her mouth really started hurting so we decided to skip gymnastics.

She was feeling ok enough that we could get groceries.   The aspirin had kicked in and the pain was better.  We were going to stop at Todd's to show him the teeth.  The roots on those babies were huge!  Elizabeth was an amazing helper by putting the bags in the cart while I was telling Ella to stay close, no you can't have a treat, please shut that red shelf thing etc etc.  We pulled out of the parking lot and all of a sudden I asked Elizabeth Where is BunBun?  She wasn't sure.  So we did a Uturn and checked the back of the van.  No Bunbun.  Then we went back into the store and saw the register.  The girl we checked out with was not at hers but the girl next was still cashier at hers.  We looked, no Bunbun.  We went to customer service - no Bunbun.  I was feeling sick, so was Elizabeth.  Ella was finding things to play with.  We backtracked a bit and still had no luck.  But Elizabeth kept saying that she had Bunbun until setting her down to help load the cart and could we go back to the check out.  So we did.  As we were walking towards it, another Target employee was coming to us.  They found Bunbun!  I was so happy I almost cried right there.  Thank you for continuing to check.  It turns out we were checking at the wrong register.  The girl we found had moved registgers so Bunbun was right were Elizabeth had set her down.

From there we went to Todd's and he made it so fun.  Elizabeth showed him her teeth and he had the perfect reaction.  He was shocked by the size of the roots and had us all laughing.  Thanks Todd.

Here's hoping everyone has a great day.  The tooth fairy just reminded me I need to do something too!  LOL
