Good Sport

Wow we had a busy Friday night and Saturday day.  I was so tired last night that I went to bed with the girls.  They were asleep by 8 and I was soon after.  Today is low key.  We are going to Ikea to get Elizabeth a dresser.  She has been using one I refinished with my Dad's help but the drawers are so hard for her to open.  That one will be moved into my room and the TV will look grand on top.

Friday I picked the girls up from school and that included Elizbeth's friend JunFen.  We stopped at a used sporting goods store to pick up soccer supplies and then home to play.  Easy dinner and the girls all played well.  The two older ones did ask Ella to play with them but she didn't want to.  So all was good.  We watched a movie and then I put Ella to bed about 8.  The older two were watching another movie and after that we all went to bed.  It was about 10 pm.  Not too bad for a sleep over.

On Saturday we had breakfast and I let the girls eat in the living room.  Please ignore the dirty windows.  They had played polly pockets so that was fun too.

Then in the van to Gymnastics for Elizabeth and Dance for Ella.  We drop Elizabeth in time for her 9:30 session and then get back in the van to bring Ella to dance at 10:15.  JunFen played with Elizabeth's ds for awhile but there was also a magic show going on in the library attached to the location.  The guy was very good and very funny.  I went and got Ella at 11:00 and then we all left to get back to gymnastics to watch.  Since that goes until 12:00 we were able to watch Elizabeth for a little while.

Then we went to lunch at a chinese restaurant nearby.  We call it the Great Wall place but it has a real name too.  The food is great and the girls love the wall

When the waiter stopped at our table, Ella said NiHao.  He said, oh you speak Chinese.  Elizabeth and JunFen started saying more and he told them, I don't know how to speak Chinese.  So Elizabeth told me later that she thought if someone was going to work at a Chinese restaurant they should know how to speak Chinese.

Then we brought JunFen home and rushed home to get soccer duds on.  We weren't sure if it would be warm enough for everyone so we brought a blanket too.

Elizabeth is on the Red Dragons and her team played two games.  In the school league there are 3 teams so every saturday one of the teams plays twice.  The kids tried their best but the Red team lost both games.  We are all hoping that the Red dragons are able to make a goal next week.  :-)

Elizabeth is in that mix somewhere

Look in the back and see the man?  The little girl he is holding is Elizabeth.  She banged heads with another player and was taking a little rest.  She then sat with me for a little bit but found her inner resolve and got back on the field.

As the game progressed the kids were finding positions and Elizabeth helped defend the goal.

Isn't she cute?

Sorry I didn't get any pictures of Ella at the game.  She was going to rest on the blanket but then a friend of her's came to watch his older brother play.  So... Ella and Finn were holdking hands and cheering from the sidelines.  It was very cute but my battery was all dead by then.  Bummer.
