Mom's adjustment to school

Ok, the girls are all adjusted.  School is normal for them now.  I hear tales of "It was the best day ever" to "so and so is being mean to me" and "I did great on my test" and "I need help on my homework"

It is good that they are adjusted.

I AM NOT.

When did I turn into the driver and the schedule keeper and lunch maker and house cleaner and laundry queen?  I know... that is what Mom's do.  But, I miss my girls. I miss hanging out together and watching kids shows on TV.  I miss watching them try to learn how to ride bikes.  I miss the easy life that summer brings.

The only time we seem to have to talk anymore is in the van.  So, I have told them that no more DSis or other electronic games in the van.  I want to have talks and hear about their day and have them ask about mine.  I don't want to be ignored and told to wait a minute.

It gets pretty pathetic when you look forward to lice check just to have a chance to cuddle with your daughter.  :-)

I also have to give congrats to my girls.

Ella has been wanting to learn how to tie her shoes.  I tried but we both got frustrated.  In steps Big Sister and after one lesson, Ella can tie her shoes, my shirt and any other string she can find!

Way To Go GIRLS!

I also like how proud Elizabeth was of Ella when she found out Ella was tying things because of her.
