When it is all done, I'll do a real before and after post but here are the girls with their new beds. The beds were delivered and installed yesterday. Here are the girls when they got home from school.
Elizabeth is wearing the new Red shirt for school. This year the 5th - 8th grade can have a little different uniform. We finally found some red polos and E loves wearing it.
We had discussed trundle beds but decided to go with a full size. That way the girls can sleep together if they want or their friends can share when they have a sleepover.
So in theory, this is what it could look like. But in reality last night Ella had other friends with her so there really wasn't room.
Elizabeth is loving her new sheets as well as her new bed. She did pose for me as well as let me take a normal picture.
This is her pose for the song everyone loves right now - call me maybe.
They both slept wondefully. So did I.
Last night Elizabeth and I were packing her up for her first school retreat. This year the 5th - 8th grade are going to Wolf Ridge and they left this morning. Elizabeth was very ready for it. I thought I was too until it was time to drop her off for the bus. Then I had feelings very much like when she went on the bus for 4 year old Kindergarden at JJ Hill. I followed that bus to the school and really thought about doing it for a moment today. But that bus ride will be 4 hours. :-) E did let me take a picture but it had to be away from her friends so she wasn't embarrassed.
That little speck you see on the left with the cute pink backpack is Ella. She is sad she is not in 5th grade. She really really wants to go on the trip too. It is hard being the younger sister but your time will come Ella. And she also used it to nail her point home. As I was walking Ella into school, she told me she probably wouldn't feel so sad if she had a real pet at home waiting for her. ;-) Great try Ella - keep working that pet angle. I am still waiting to decide. LOL
Have a great time Elizabeth. Can't wait to see you on Friday.
The school set up a twitter feed so I am connected. I'll try not to send embarrassing tweets.
