My girls are with Grandma Jo and Uncle Jerry this week. I brought them there Tuesday after school conferences and I will pick them up on Friday. I am so grateful that Jerry and Joanne were able to help out during this school break. That saves me vacation days but I do miss my girls.
Last night I was going to start working on a project from my "honey do" list (like how I give myself a honey do list?) but instead I watched the Lynx on TV. Fun game to watch.
But I didn't realize the Lynx were on. Elizabeth told me that when I called to see how the day went. I talked to both girls and Joanne and am so thankful for this dedicated time my kids are getting.
Here is a list of things they did:
Read books with Grandma
Did Math homework and Uncle Jerry checked the work and helped explain Fractions to Elizabeth
Took a nap - Ella
Went with Grandma to her eye appointment - Elizabeth
Played with Myla and baby Nora - both girls
Learned how to sew - Ella and Elizabeth.
Ella has been asking me how to sew for a very long time. I know how but I don't really have time or a good machine anymore. I can't wait to see the project they made. But, I heard all the steps from Ella and it was clear she was paying close attention to Grandma. But, they made a bag/purse and it has 3 kinds of material and decorations on it.
Today I think Myla wants to come back and play which is awesome.
Tonight I may even work on that "to do" item .... or maybe not. :-)
p.s. Conferences were good and as expected. There is some work to be done in memorizing Chinese characters and reviewing for tests in all subjects but I am proud of the work my girls are doing.
