Happy Thanksgiving! We were very happy to spend it with Jerry and Joanne and family. It's always a blast. When we left our house that day it was close to 50 degrees and Ella decided to wear shorts. But, as you can see, she did change into pants as the weather made a big change - just like Minnesota weather can do.
Snow! This is why Ella changed out of her shorts. It was fun playing in the snow but it was cold too.
On November 24th we spent the day at Kevin's for our family Thanksgiving celebration. It is always nice seeing everyone and this year we had more to celebrate. My nephew Josh came home safe and sound from his tour in Afganistan. Thank you Jesus! In the picture above you can see Lyndsay and Ella having an engaging conversation. Jeremy was also hanging around :-)
Ella has been loving Figure Skating class. On 12/3 she started her new session and moved up to Basic 2 from Basic 1. She is getting really fast and one day soon I'll dig out my skates so we can enjoy skating as a family. Elizabeth is not that excited about skating but that's ok... she is willing to learn.
This is a great example of what the little sisters do during gymnastics meets. This is Ella and Mikalya at the Peppermint Twist meet on 11/30. They each have a bag with the stuff to pass the time. Ella always using the Ipad and we have learned to bring the headphones so she can hear the movies/games better.

This was Elizabeth's 3rd meet. She is improving in all her events. And at this one she got her first 8 score. She did 8.2 in the uneven bars! Way to go Elizabeth. She has a few more meets this year and seems to be finding her groove. I really enjoy watching her too. When she got her 8 she turned to me with a huge smile. Its stuff like that that makes all that driving worthwhile. ;-)
Here are a few of her team... I love the picture with Ella still doing ipad. LOL
Elizabeth wanted one more pose when we got home.
This cute picture was before skating on 12/3. One of the gymnastic's moms is a foster parent to dogs. So, she brings them every week. This little guy really tugged at Ella's heart. She has not given up on her desire to have a dog. So far she has not worn me down.
:-)
