Busy Weekend but Blessed

We had a great time this weekend.

First up was meeting friends at a local hotel for a big sleep over.  We were all getting together to celebrate Micky and Frank's birthdays.    And it was a surprise to Micky and Frank.  ;-)  Many got hotel rooms and brought kids and grandkids as there was a pool and some had pool side rooms.  We were not able to get a pool side room but our's was just down the hall.

We had a blast and it was so nice hanging out.

I have not been able to get together as often as I would like with this group of friends.   The reasons are many but mostly due to schedules.  That is easing up for us and hoping we can see each other more.

It was great reconnecting.  Many asked how we were doing and I said multiple times that we are in the sweet spot -  the kids can do alot for themselves and no interest in boys yet.  LOL

My goal is to make sure I don't go so long between get togethers!


We also celebrated  Chinese New Year on Sunday with the local chapter of FCA (Families with Children from Asia).  We got to see other friends and visit with them too.  The only bummer is Ella got a tummy ache so we weren't able to stay past the end to visit longer.  All is well now though.

Elizabeth was tired too and took a two hour nap when we got home.  Then she worked on her Science Fair project.

We are blessed with friends and I thank you  God.
