Appointment time

At Elizabeth's last orthodontist appointment, the Doctor said Elizabeth needed to lose 3 more teeth before braces. Well she has lost 2 and we just got the postcard reminding us it is time. Today on the way home from her gymnastics practice, Elizabeth told me her feelings about her teeth.  I think she is beautiful but she told me tonight that she feels awkward showing her teeth in her smile because her teeth are crooked. We had a good talk about it and tomorrow it is time for me to call and make that next appointment.  I never had braces but did have teeth pulled to make my teeth fit my mouth. I admitted to feeling awkward about my smile too when I was her age. Here is hoping the next steps for Elizabeth bring her the results she deserves.
