Mulan and Blues Clues

Right now Mulan is on the kitchen TV and Blues Clues is on the living room one. I did have the Super Bowl on but Kids Rule I guess. Ella is watching Mulan and Elizabeth really wants to watch Mary Poppins but we only have one VCR and its on the kitchen TV. So, she is making due with Blues Clues.

We had a great day today. My niece Alissa watched the girls for me yesterday afternoon and evening and spent the night. She is a wonderful amazing girl and I am so glad she is part of my girls' lives. She is a great example of how to grow up great! She hung around with us this morning until her dad (my brother Kevin) came and picked her up. He is traveling for work and Alissa took his vehicle home from the airport.

Elizabeth picked out a great outfit. When they were playing with Alissa they rediscovered the coat closet and she found what she calls her Motorcycle Jacket. Its a Pleather Jacket a friend passed on to her last year. She looked so cute. She had her jeans on and her black jacket and two different color socks. She has her own style! Ella picked out her clothes too and did great. They both left the house with sunglasses on and purses over their arms.

This is Ella yesterday. We had bought a new Leo for her and she had to wear it yesterday. She also was helping me sweep the kitchen floor.

Then the girls and I visited with Reenie and her family. That is always nice. I had her warm gloves and headband from last weekend's Ice Feeeshing adventure so we dropped those off. Then we headed to work. I wasn't able to log in from home on Friday when Daycare was closed. So, I wanted to check my email and the girls love going in to work.

From there we went to Edina to Paint Your Plate to pick up our stuff. They turned out nice. I'll have to take a picture of them to upload here. We stopped at Office Max too. I was trying to find a kids check book for Elizabeth. I had told her about it but now I can't find it in a store. I'll have to order it online. But we didn't leave Office Max empty handed. They made due with post it notes and gel pens.

This is the plate I did. Its supposed to say Love in Chinese

Here is Ella's puppy

Elizabeth's Star Dish

The girls have been getting along so well this weekend. They chatted in the car without my intervention and I love it. In the mornings Ella has been getting out of bed and coming in my room. That is so nice. On Friday morning I was downstairs and heard the little patter of feet and Elizabeth came around the corner. Right behind her was Ella. That really was the first. Elizabeth didn't help her out of bed, Ella did it all by herself. My baby is growing up. :-) She used to just yell MOMMMMMMM but now she is figuring out things on her own. Love IT!

When Mulan was done Ella said Mary Poppins and got the tape for Elizabeth. She even gave Elizabeth a kiss just cuz.

On Friday, Elizabeth Ella and I went to Maplewood Mall after school. On the way there in the car, Elizabeth told me that Nicholas kissed her on the hand. I asked her what she did then and she said, nothing. She also asked me not to tell Todd and Elise as they were joining us at the mall. But, she did tell me its ok to write it down here. I also explained that Todd reads this and she said "I don't care" and "How does he know" So, my 5 year old seems to have it all under control.
